Historically, Western medicine has focused on the physical body when treating health conditions. The emotional, mental and spiritual bodies have not been considered to have much impact on our well-being. It is important to recognize, however, that the cells in our bodies take on stress, guilt, anger, anxiety and emotional trauma. Buried emotions and stress are often the root cause of physical dis-ease. As a result, healing cannot truly begin until the deeper levels are acknowledged. Reiki treats the whole being and facilitates healing on a cellular level, physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
